Staying healthy is crucial these days and although there are many different smartphone accessories, this one is designed to help you keep an eye on your cholesterol level.

Visiting a doctor is a time consuming process, and this is why researchers from Cornell University have created a smartphone accessory that will allow you to check your cholesterol level using your smartphone. This accessory comes with reagent test strip in which you need to place a bit of your own blood. After placing blood sample the reagent will change into different color depending on the cholesterol level in your blood. One thing that makes this accessory special is that you can use your phone camera and flash to illuminate and capture the color of the stip.

We have to admit that this accessory sounds interesting, but we have to wonder how accurate this device actually is. We assume that this device can be useful if you want to keep an close eye on your cholesterol level, but for more accurate results perhaps its better to consult your doctor.

Posted: 05 Feb 2014 10:00 PM PST

Headphone splitters can be extremely useful, especially if you want to share music while traveling with someone, and today we have a special headphone splitter with some neat features.

As we said, headphone splitters can be great, but they have one big problem and that's volume control, so when you're using headphone splitter both of you have to listen music or watch a movie at the same volume. Luckily, there's a device called Splitter that works as a standard headphone splitter, but at the same time it comes with individual volume controls, meaning that both users can adjust their volume independently from each other. Splitter connects to your device using a standard 3.5mm port, and it comes with additional 3.5mm ports that you use to connect your headphones.

Splitter is small and useful device, and as for the price, you can get it from Wicked Audio's website for $10.
