Posted: 23 Feb 2014 10:01 PM PST

Video surveillance is perfect if you want to protect your home, and if you're looking for a surveillance camera but you don't want to deal with wires, you might be interested in today's device.

Simplicam comes from Arcsoft, and it's a WiFi surveillance camera that connects to cloud-based service called Closeil. According to its creators, this camera offers face tracking feature that will activate the detection system only if there's another person in your house, and it won't be triggered by accident by a pet. Arcsoft plans to improve the face tracking feature so that the camera can switch off automatically if it detects the user. Regarding the setup, users have to push the button on the back and get a phone password as a QR code and they are good to go.

Simplicam is priced at $149.99, and Closeil cloud services offer free live view, motion and sound alerts over the browser or mobile application. There are also three paid recording plans that offer you 1 day recording, 11 day recording and 21 day recording for $49/year or $5/month, $139/year or $14/month and $229/year or $23/month, respectively.

If you do a lot of multitasking on your computer and mobile devices, you might want to check this device that allows you to control all your mobile devices with your mouse and keyboard.

IOGear KeyShair allows you to seamlessly switch between desktop and Bluetooth devices that use a keyboard. This is perfect for multitasking, because you can type your emails or text messages faster with your keyboard and mouse than with on-screen keyboard on mobile devices. As for the number of supported devices, you can switch between up to four mobile devices with a single hotkey. One thing that might make your life easier is the ability to copy and paste from your PC or Mac to a mobile device seamlessly. As for the compatibility, IOGear KeyShair is compatible with PC and Mac desktop and laptop keyboards, and it will work great with iPad, iPhone and Android devices. We have to notice that some devices won't support mouse input, but keyboard support should work with all devices.

IOGear KeyShair sounds useful, but currently we have no information regarding availability or release date.
