Experience augmented reality with Meta Pro Smart Glasses

Posted: 11 Feb 2014 10:01 PM PST

Augmented reality sounds amazing, and we might see it sooner than we think thanks to the company called Meta.

Meta is working on a special pair of sunglasses that come with attached computer that will turn your surroundings into a working environment. This device comes with hand-tracking algorithms you can use in order to navigate through open windows and even "attach" them to the different surfaces. We have to mention that there's also built-in 9-axis inertial measure unit in the glasses that will allow you to turn your head and focus on something else, and when you look back, your windows will still be there where you placed them.

These glasses look amazing and almost like something from science fiction movie, and as for availability, there are two models available: Meta Pro model that comes with better quality hardware and Meta.01 dev unit. Regarding the price, Meta Pro is priced at $3,000 while the Meta.01 dev unit will cost you $667.
