BLU Studio 5.0 II and BLU Advance 4.0 affordable smartphones released Posted: 22 Jan 2014 10:01 PM PST Smartphones are everywhere, and if you're looking for a smartphone but you're on a tight budget, you might be interested in these affordable smartphones that come from BLU. BLU has released two affordable smartphones, BLU Studio 5.0 II and BLU Advance 4.0, and as for the specs, BLU Studio 5.0 II comes with 5-inch 480×854 pixel IPS display and a MediaTek MT6572 ARM Cortex-A7 dual-core processor. Additional specs include 5 megapixel camera at the back and a VGA front camera for video calls. There's also 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion. Regarding the software, BLU Studio 5.0 II runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. As for BLU Advance 4.0, this device comes with similar hardware specs, but it uses smaller TFT 4-inch display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Both of these phones are available in black or white colors. BLU Studio 5.0 II and BLU Advance 4.0 offer humble specs, and as for the price, they are priced at $139 and $89 respectively. Sphere is the latest external hard drive from LaCie, and this device comes with unusual design since it's shaped to look like a sphere. In order to design this external hard drive LaCie collaborated with Christofle, a luxury brand from France. The hard drive is enclosed in sphere of silver-plated steel and it has a highly reflective finish and it looks visually appealing. Sphere external hard drive connects to your computer via USB 3.0 thus delivering high writing and reading speeds, and there is also blue LED light that indicates the status of the device. This hard drive comes with 1TB of space, and it has features such as Backup Assistant, Private-Public for password protection, and Eco Mode for energy saving. LaCie Sphere looks great, and it's perfect if you want an external hard drive that stands from the rest.
