Folio: Foldable light box perfect for photographers Posted: 15 Jan 2014 10:01 PM PST If you're a photographer then you know how important the lightning is, especially if you're taking pictures of certain products or smaller objects. Speaking of which, today we have something that might help you while taking pictures. While taking pictures it's always good to have a clean background so that object you're shooting stands out from the background, and this is where Foldio might come in handy. Foldio is a foldable studio which you can fold and put in your pocket or a bag and open it anywhere if you need to take a few pictures. This foldable light box comes with LED strip that will illuminate the subject in the box, and there are also optional colored background sheets available. Foldio is made from laminated paper, it's water resistant and thanks to the magnets it will snap into place easily. Folio started as a Kickstarter project, but it has reached its funding goal, and you can get it for $27, and for $9 you'll get additional color sheets. [via Ubergizmo]

Kolibree toothbrush pairs up with your smartphone via Bluetooth Posted: 15 Jan 2014 10:00 PM PST We already have all sorts of smart devices such as smart TVs, smartphones, smartwatches, and today we're happy to show you the smart toothbrush. Kolibree toothbrush comes with its own accelerometer so it records every brushing. In addition, this toothbrush connects to your Android or iOS smartphone via Bluetooth 3.0, and thanks to the free Kolibree application you can keep track of your brushing habits and see where have you brushed and for how long. All brushing data will be accessible via API, so we expect to see some interesting creations in the future. As for the brush itself, Kolibree is a rechargeable sonic electrical brush, and it comes with one button, and no display, so if you want to see your data you'll have to use dedicated app. Kolibree toothbrush sounds interesting, and as for the availability, this smart toothbrush should be available worldwide in Q3 2014.
