Great for backup: Seagate Backup Plus Slim and Seagate Backup Plus Fast

Posted: 13 Jan 2014 10:01 PM PST

Backing up your data is important, and the best way to do that is to use an external hard drive, and speaking of which, today we have a special external backup hard drive that we want to show you.

Seagate Backup Plus Slim is a successor of Backup Plus drives that were launched in June 2012, and unlike the older model, Seagate Backup Plus Slim can backup PC and Mac computers, but at the same time it can partially backup Android and iOS devices as well. Regarding the capacity, these drives can have up to 2TB of storage, and Seagate claims that their devices are the thinnest external hard drives on the market. The drive comes with a metal top that should protect your device from shocks in addition to looking visually appealing. All drives come with USB 3.0 connectivity, and there are PC and Mac versions that will be ready for work out of the box. Of course, you can reformat the drives if you wish so. Regarding the backup, it uses the similar software that was used on the previous model.

We also have to mention that Seagate revealed Seagate Backup Plus Fast external drive that comes with 4TB of storage space and it doesn't require an external power source. Inside the device there are two drives in RAID0 configuration. This drive also connects to your computer via USB 3.0.

If you want to backup your files these external drives from Seagate might be just what you need but so far, we have no information regarding the availability or price.
