Gadget deal: X-mini II Capsule speaker £14.99 shipped

Posted: 01 Apr 2013 06:55 AM PDT

The X-mini II Capsule speaker has been a great success, a winner of the Red Dot Design Awards (Germany) and the Infocomm Singapore Awards. We first reviewed it back in 2009 and we were stunned by the performance it could deliver despite its miniature size and practicality. This meant it was great for plugging into the iPhone or iPod to amplify your music substantially to share with others when you’re outdoors or on a long car journey with friends and family and not have to worry about the burden of carrying a set of heavy speakers.

Here are the key features of the X-mini II Capsule speaker.

  • Compact size, Matte black finish
  • High quality sound, with clear bass resonance
  • 11 hours of continuous playback from one charge
  • Included USB charging cable, felt bag
  • Integrated 3.5mm audio lead

For only £14.99 with free shipping, we would highly recommend checking out this X-mini II Capsule speaker deal, its certainly come in handy for us over the years in our office many times and its also proven to be very reliable too.

Latest from Japan: SmartPants for your smartphone

Posted: 01 Apr 2013 02:59 AM PDT

We saw all sorts of weird and silly devices from Japan, and today we have something special that should keep your phone warm.

SmartPants might be designed by Japanese toy manufacturer Bandai, but don't be confused by the name, these SmartPants don't come with any electronics, and they are definitely not designed for you. SmartPants are made for your smartphone, and they are designed to resemble underpants, and their purpose is to cover your smartphone. As for the design, there are several models available to choose from, but we have to wonder why would anyone use those to cover their smartphone.

SmartPants aren't that smart to be honest, and they look quite silly, but they might be good if you wish to prank someone. We don't know with what models SmartPants are compatible with, but we know that our smartphones work well without them. Anyhow, if for some reason you need pair of those, you can get them for $2.14 each after conversion.
