Asus MeMO Pad Smart launched in the US

We're no strangers to Asus MeMO Pad series, and if you're fan of Asus' tablets, you should be pleased to know that Asus has launched a new tablet in the US.



MeMO Pad Smart (model ME301T) is designed for mobile entertainment, and it comes with 10.1-inch 1280×800 HD multitouch IPS display with 170-degree viewing angle, and it offers bright, clear images, even under sunlight. Thanks to the TrueVivid Technology To this device gives you clear image and rich color, and as for the sound, this tablet uses large resonance chambers, stereo speakers with with 25x12mm metallic drive, Maxx audio software and Asus SonicMaster sound enhancement.

MeMO Pad Smart comes with 5 megapixel auto focus main camera with flash, and a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. This tablet is powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, and it comes with 16GB of internal storage space, but you can easily expand it with microSD/SDHC and microSDXC cards. As for connectivity, this device supports Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n.

MeMO Pad Smart is just 9.9mm thick, and it weighs 580g, and it will be perfect if you need Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet designed for multimedia. As for the price, you can get this tablet from Amazon for $299.99.

Archos announces FamilyPad 2 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet

We have covered Archos FamilyPad tablet, and speaking of which, Archos has been busy, and it has already announced a successor to FamilyPad tablet, so let's see what will new model offer to its users.



FamilyPad 2 has been announced just few months after the release of the original model, and it comes with 13.3-inch display with 1,280 × 800 resolution. In addition to its large screen, this model uses dual-core 1.6GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with quad-core graphics, 1GB RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. If 8GB isn't enough for your needs, you can expand the storage thanks to the microSD memory card slot. There are also two 2-megapixel cameras, WiFi connectivity, and as for software, Archos FamilyPad 2 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Archos FamilyPad 2 sounds like a great tablet, and we should see it available in Europe "very soon", although the exact release date remains a mystery. As for the price, this tablet should cost about €299.
