HP Slate7: Budget-friendly Android Jelly Bean tablet

Purchasing a tablet might be a tough choice, especially if you're on a tight budget, but luckily for you, HP has announced new budget-friendly tablet.



HP Slate7 is powered by dual-core Cortex-A9 1.6GHz processor, and it comes with 3-megapixel camera on the back, and VGA front-facing camera for video calls. Also, we have to mention that HP Slate7 is the first tablet that supports Beats Audio. As for the software, this device runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and it comes preloaded with Google's services such as Google Now, Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Google+ Hangouts and Google Play. We should point that HP Slate7 is a lightweight tablet, weighting mere 13 ounces, and as for the design, this tablet is surrounded by stainless-steel frame and soft black paint, and you can even pick your back color between red and gray.

HP Slate7 sounds interesting, and we should see it available in the US in April with a price of $169.

Lenovo announces S6000, A3000 and A1000 tablets

We don't need to tell you that Lenovo is famous for its computers, but it seems that Lenovo has announced several tablets, so let's have a closer look at them.



According to Lenovo, Lenovo S6000 should work as a mobile Home Entertainment center, and it comes with quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. Additional specs include 10.1-inch IPS display with 1,280 x 800 resolution, 178-degree viewing angle, micro HDMI port, digital microphone, Wi-Fi and optional HSPA+ connectivity. As for the size, Lenovo S6000 is only 8.6mm thick and it weighs about 560 grams. Lenovo A3000 runs on quad-core 1.2GHz processor, but it comes with 7-inch 1,024 x 600 display, and it weighs about 340 grams while being 11m thick. Additional specs include microSD memory card slot and optional 3G HSPA+ support. Last tablet is Lenovo A1000, and it comes with dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 16GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for expansion. As for the software, Lenovo A1000 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

All these tablets will be available worldwide starting from Q2, but so far, there's no details about pricing.
