When we speak of latest car tech here on GadgetLite, we usually talk about Audi, BMW and M-B. But today that’s not the case, the new 2012 300C from Chrysler, which has just become available in the UK this month, is in every respect just as well built, safe, and equipped, the new Chrysler 300C continues to retain a unique position in the executive sector.

The Chrysler 300C comes in two trim levels – Limited and Executive, both promising the perfect power output for the car, with two well equipped specifications. As Chrysler is now part of the Fiat Group, the 300C's new 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine benefits from Fiat's award winning MultiJet 2 technology which initially gained popularity with the Fiat 500. Anyone looking to test drive the 300C will hence not be disappointed by its surprisingly effortless power and fuel-saving efficiency.

The iconic American saloon remains just as luxurious as its predecessor, the interior has high grade materials throughout, from the redesigned Nappa leather seats to real wood panels on the dashboard. The body is made from a variety of new materials including advanced high resistance and ultra-strong steel. The improved rigidity combined with all-new suspension means the rear-wheel drive Chrysler 300C doesn't just handle better than ever, it's also quieter and more refined.

Obviously its not possible to talk about a car without going into more detail about the gadgets and technology within. Whether in Limited or Executive trim, the Chrysler 300C is technology packed. Much of the technology that rivals sell as premium priced optional extras feature as standard equipment on the Limited model. Rain Brake Support helps keep the brake pads dry for better stopping power in poor conditions. Ventilated front seats and heated rears, Uconnect infotainment system with Bluetooth on an 8.4-inch touch screen display, dual-zone climate control, mirrors that darken automatically to limit headlight glare, cruise control, and 18-inch wheels all come as standard on the Limited model.

For even more gadgetry, the Executive version has a Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system, radar Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and a two-panel panoramic sunroof as well as the forward collision monitoring system and 20-inch alloy wheels.

This is no doubt without saying, the 300C's technology also plays a role in ensuring safety for its driver. The rigid construction of the iconic car combines with a suite of nearly 70 electronic safety aids ensures the Chrysler 300C offers top-class safety in a supremely stylish but yet subtle package.
