Robot guards keep streets of China safe

When it comes to robots, we know that they can do all sorts of things, and there are even robots working as security guards in prisons, and today we have robots that are making our streets safer.



Today's robot comes from Kunming, China, and this two meter tall robot keeps the streets of Kunming safe. This robot is equipped with surveillance camera in the visor, and thanks to the underground closed circuit TV cables, nearest police station has live view over the streets at all times. In addition to the surveillance camera, this robot comes with a large red button, which when pressed calls the police. In addition to calling the police, this robot sounds the alarm and starts flashing alerting all passers-by around it.

Although this robot isn't actually a Robocop, it can make streets a bit safer, however, such robot is priced around $3,170.
