Posted: 12 Jun 2012 07:33 AM PDT

You probably know how frustrating it is to run out of power on your iPad or on any other USB or iOS device that you have, but luckily for you, today we have an eco-friendly iPad case that could help you with that.

Kudocase is a iPad case, but unlike other iPad cases on the market, this one charges your iPad via solar energy, and at the same time, it works as a iPad stand. Using the photovoltaic ink technology this case generates electric power from indoor or outdoor light sources and it powers the case's 4mm 10,000 mAh battery.

In addition to your iPad, Kudocase can recharge your USB devices as well thanks to the built-in USB port. As for the battery, it can provide enough power for up to 10 days for average users. We should also mention that this case is rubber-coated and composed of biodegradable corn grain, and it's compatible with both iPad 2 and iPad 3.

If you want to preserve energy and keep your devices charged at all times, Kudocase is a perfect choice, and it is currently priced at $190.

CordLite: iOS connector cable that glows in the dark

Posted: 12 Jun 2012 07:01 AM PDT

Charging iOS devices isn't always an easy task, especially if you're trying to do it in the dark because it might be hard to connect your charger to your iOS device, but today we have a device that can make this process a bit simpler.

CordLite is designed by Scrap Pile Labs, and unlike standard connector cables, it comes with illuminating LED lights that make it easier to connect it to your iOS device in low light conditions. CordLite works rather simple, you just have to hold it in your hand, and thanks to the connector's touch-sensitive aluminum body, the front LEDs will light up as soon as you take the cable in your hands. So far, CordLite is only compatible with iOS devices, but Scrap Pile Labs is already working on a micro-USB cable for Android devices as well.

Although CordLite sounds like a useful device, it's still a Kickstarter project, but you can pre-order your own by donating to its funding.

Sony CL-A2LAS charger recharges your USB devices using a hand crank

Posted: 12 Jun 2012 04:18 AM PDT

Running out of battery on your USB devices can be a problem, but luckily for you, today we have a device that should keep your USB device charged at all times.

If you don't have a PC to recharge your USB device, then new CL-A2LAS charger from Sony might be perfect for you. Sony CL-A2LAS charger comes with integrated 4,000mAh battery that is recharged using a hand crank. This charger is equipped with two USB ports so you can recharge two USB devices simultaneously. In addition, you can even remove the battery from the crank and use it on its own. Although Sony CL-A2LAS charger can be recharged at any time without use of wall outlets or any other external power source, it has its limitations when it comes to the power. With three minutes of manual cranking, you'll have enough battery for a minute of talk time, so we're only guessing how much cranking does it take to fully recharge your USB devices.

Sony CL-A2LAS charger can be perfect if you need to recharge your USB device and you don't have a USB port nearby. As for availability and price, we should see this charger on June 20th in Japan, and it should be priced at around $100.
