Sony’s Digital Paper coming to US in May

Sony has released all sorts of high-quality devices over the years, and today we have something little different that comes from Sony.



Digital Paper is 13.3-inch e-ink screen that allows users to read PDF documents and take notes using the stylus pen. In terms of hardware, this device comes with 13.3-inch screen with 1200×1600 resolution and 16 levels of grayscale, but sadly it doesn't have backlight. On the bright side, due to the large screen you'll be able to read documents easily and without scrolling or zooming. Digital Paper comes with 4GB of internal storage, but there's also a microSD card slot if you need more storage space. This device supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, and the built-in battery can last up to three weeks on a single charge.

Digital Paper is a light device, and it is thick as 30 sheets of stacked paper. Although this device sounds great, it only supports PDF documents. Regarding the availability, we should see Digital Paper available in US in May with a price set at $1,100.

ZTE Nubia X6 phablet gets announced

New smartphones are released almost on daily basis, and speaking of smartphones, today we have a new device that comes from ZTE, so let's examine it more closely.



ZTE Nubia X6 comes with massive 6.44-inch touchscreen display and it uses Full HD resolution. As for the hardware, there's quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, and choice between 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage space. Additional specs include 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and optical image stabilization, 13-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual SIM support and 4,250 mAh battery. In terms of software, it's still unknown what version of Android mobile operating system this device will use. Despite its powerful hardware, this device is just 7.9mm thin, so it will fit easily in your pocket.

ZTE Nubia X6 is one powerful phablet, it offers great hardware specs, and it should cost less than $500. Sadly, this device is announced in China, so there's no information regarding worldwide availability.

Acer Iconia One 7: Latest member of the Iconia family

We're no strangers to Acer Iconia line, and speaking of which, Acer is planning to expand its Iconia line with a new affordable 7-inch device.



Acer Iconia One 7 is the latest device from Acer and this device comes with 7-inch 1024 x 600 pixel TFT LCD display and dual-core 1.5GHz VIA WonderMedia WM8880 ARM Cortex-A9 processor. There is also ARM Mali-400MP2 graphics and 1GB RAM, as well as 16GB of internal storage space, but if that is not enough, there’s also a microSD memory card slot for expansion. Additional specs include 802.11n WiFi connectivity, 1.9-megapixel camera on the back, VGA front camera for video calls, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and 3,000mAh battery.

Acer Iconia One 7 might not have the best hardware features, but it's an affordable device, so it won't be too harsh on your budget. There's no information regarding the price or availability, but we expect Acer Iconia One 7 to cost less than $150.

We covered the topic of 3D printing several times before, and if you're interested in 3D printing and you have a thing for chocolate, you might want to have a look at this unusual 3D printer.



ChocaByte 3D chocolate printer lets you create your 3D prints from chocolate, and the chocolate cartridges will cost $10 for four cartridges. The company will offer hundreds of designs, and users will be able to upload their own designs as well. If you wish to create your own designs, the company plans to the release a design application for the printer. As for the printing, the printing process lasts less than 10 minutes and it produces objects that are 2 x 2 x 1 inches in size.

ChocaByte 3D chocolate printer sounds amazing, and we expect to see the official launch date in the last quarter of the current year. As for the price, it remains undisclosed for the final product.
