Philips Hue Tap Switch is powered solely by kinetic energy

Preserving energy is quite important, and if you want to save energy in your home, you should have a look at this new switch that comes from Philips.

Philips has announced Tap Switch, and in order to control the light in your room you just need to tap one of the three buttons available. This switch requires Philips' Hue light bulb, but what makes this switch stand from the others is that it doesn't require any wires or source of electric energy. This switch relies on the kinetic energy that is generated by pressing the buttons on the switch, so one tap of the button produces enough energy to complete each task. In addition to Tap Switch, Philips has also announced a new "lux" Hue bulb, and it's only available in white, so it's extremely bright. As for the price, this bright bulb costs $40.

Philips Tap Switch is great, especially if you don't want to use your touchscreen device to control your Hue bulb. As for the price, the Tap Switch will be available later this year and it's priced at $60.
