Posted: 04 Apr 2014 01:03 AM PDT

Nowadays we have all sorts of devices that we carry with us such as our laptops, smartphones or tablets, so it's somewhat common to run out of battery on one of these devices. If you happen to run out of battery often, then BatteryBox is just what you need.

BatteryBox is a portable battery, and it has enough power to fully recharge eight iPhones, or to provide additional twelve hours of battery life to your MacBook Air. Unlike other battery packs, BatteryBox won't lose its capacity over time since it uses new energy management system called BatteryOS. BatteryOS keeps track on your Lithium-Ion Battery, and makes sure that the power is specially optimized in order to prevent any kind of degradation. This means that the battery will keep 96% of its original capacity after 3,000 charges and discharges. As for capacity, this portable battery has 12,000mAh capacity.

BatteryBox sounds impressive, and it will be perfect especially if you commute or travel a lot. As for the price, this portable battery is priced at $139 a pop.

Microsoft is bringing back Start Menu to Windows 8.1

Posted: 03 Apr 2014 11:52 PM PDT

Windows 8 was a big step away from the classic Windows experience that most users are used to, so it's no wonder that with latest Windows 8 update Microsoft tries to bring back that classic look and feel of Windows.

At the Build conference, Microsoft announced that they are bringing back the Start Menu that was missing from Windows 8. The new Start Menu is big as Windows 7 Start Menu, but it has miniature Live Tiles on its side. As for other improvements, you'll be pleased to hear that modern Windows 8 apps now run in desktop environment in their own windows. Of course, if you happen to love the full-screen Start Menu and apps, they will be still around for the users that want them.

With this step Microsoft is going back to its roots, and it is giving its users what they want. As for release, we expect to see these additions later this year.
