An online app directory for betting apps

Posted: 10 Oct 2013 02:37 PM PDT

With the explosion of the mobile app market in the past few years, we’ve seen just about every sort of entertainment and utility translated into app form. Whether you prefer iOS devices, Android devices, or, these days, just about any other mobile provider, you’ll enjoy access to a massive library of different apps for different things.

However, among all of these apps, and despite the constant growth and expansion of the markets, online betting applications have never quite gained a significant footing in the industry.

This is largely thanks to the legal issues surrounding Internet gambling in various countries and regions, of course, and it’s resulted in a massive selection of gaming and casino apps that are meant just for fun, without any real money gambling capabilities. Recently, however, one online casino made a significant stride in developing an online app directory, compiling a number of different gambling-related apps and programs in one location for users to access and observe with ease.

At the BetFair online app directory, you can essentially find any tool you’re looking for related to online betting and gaming, including apps that allow you to directly bet real money in games of chance. Here are a few examples of some of the featured apps:

    • X-Feeder: This is a simple software for Betfair Exchange games that allows you to easily place bets on various games with just one touch. The X-Feeder application also has a “virtual” betting mode that basically allows users to practice without risking cash.
    • Bet Ladder: A great tool for those who like betting on sports, this is an easy application for backing or laying a sporting result. There’s even a hedge button to all on easy hedging of your bets.
    • Betfair Historical Data: For those looking to take an analytical approach, this app provides users (who have purchased up to 100 points on the site) with historical data to aid in strategies.
    • BetOnDroid – This is merely one example of the OS-specific applications available in the directory. It’s an easy-to-use mobile betting interface for Droid devices, allowing quick and easy sports betting and hedging, and similar apps are available for Windows Phone and iOS devices.

Ultimately, these are just 4 out of many examples of different applications – some focused on mobile gambling access, others focused on games, and some even geared toward providing data – that are available in BetFair’s new online app directory. It may be some time yet before we see real money gambling apps available at the top of the charts, where we’ll stumble on them almost by accident. But for those interested in mobile betting, this online app directory is a rare find worth checking out.
