Acer Liquid S1: First phablet from Acer

Acer is well-known for its devices, and it seems that Acer is trying to make its way onto the phablet market with its new device, so let's see what this device has to offer.



Acer Liquid S1 comes with 5.7-inch HD 1280 x 720 display, quad-core 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6589T CPU and 1GB of RAM. Regarding the cameras, this phablet uses 8MP rear-facing camera, and 2MP front-facing camera for video calls. As for the storage, Acer Liquid S1 has 8GB of internal memory, but there's also a microSD card slot for expansion, and regarding the software, this device runs on Android 4.2 with Acer's Float UI.

Acer Liquid S1 sounds like an interesting device, and the starting price of this phablet is €349, or $454, and we should see it available in different parts of Europe and UK in third quarter of 2013. Sadly, we don't know whether this device will be available in the United States.

Dell XPS 11 can be used as both notebook and tablet, and if you're done using Dell XPS 11 as a notebook, you can easily fold the keyboard and use it as a tablet. As for the specs, Dell XPS 11 notebook / tablet supports 2560 x 1440 resolution, and it comes with 11.6-inch screen. Regarding the CPU, Dell XPS 11 is powered by Intel Core i5 Haswell processor. We also have to mention that this notebook / tablet comes with active digitizer, so you can use the digital pen to take notes. Sadly, we have no information regarding the battery life or amount of RAM.

Dell XPS 11 sounds like an interesting device, especially if you're looking for a hybrid device that can work as a tablet or a notebook. Sadly, we have no information regarding the release date or pricing.
