Geeky DIY: NES controller nightlight

Posted: 18 Jul 2013 10:05 PM PDT

We already covered steampunk NES table, but if you're fan of Nintendo Entertainment System, or you're just a video game geek, you might be interested in today's geeky treat.

If you had a NES when you were a kid, or you're feeling bit nostalgic, you might be interested in NES controller nightlight. This geeky night light is a DIY project by Instructables user lonesoulsurfer. He basically took NES controller and outlined it with LEDs, and placed it into a clear resin shell so that LEDs can shine through it. This NES controller nightlight comes with few modes, and in order to switch between different modes, you have to tilt it a bit.

NES controller nightlight looks impressive, and we have to say that lonesoulsurfer did an amazing job with it. Sadly, this NES controller nightlight isn't available for sale, but lonesoulsurfer was kind enough to leave instructions on his Instructables page.
