Latest Facebook Collections feature resembles Pinterest

Posted: 09 Oct 2012 06:09 AM PDT

Facebook is constantly introducing new additions to its social network, and you probably remember Promoted Posts that we covered recently. However, the latest Facebook feature is designed to help companies promote their products on Facebook, so let's see what will this new feature offer.

With this new feature, companies will post pictures of their products, and each product will have "want" and "collect" buttons beneath it. Using the "collect" button you can generate page of product images, so it works on a similar way as Pin Boards on Pinterest. Several companies such as Pottery Barn, Wayfair, Victoria's Secret, Michael Kors, Neiman Marcus, Smith Optics, and Fab.com are currently using this feature.

This new feature seems interesting, and we're hoping that other companies will start using it in the future. In addition, it would be great if this feature becomes available to all Facebook users worldwide, however, we'll have to wait and see what happens next.
