Posted: 17 Oct 2012 05:43 AM PDT

Spending the time with your loved ones is always important, but if you can't do that, you might be interested in this telepresence robot.

Helios is a device that can turn your iPhone into your personal telepresence robot, and in order to do that, you have to install the Helios iOS app on your iPhone and launch it before you place your iPhone in a dedicated slot on top of the Helios. After that, you need to start your web browser and you'll be able to see video transmitted by your iPhone, while controlling it remotely. In addition, you can change the tilt of your iPhone remotely, so you can see things more clearly. One of the advantages of this robot is that you can control it remotely from any place on the world, so the possibilities are endless.

Helios is just a Kickstarter project so far, but we might see it available for sale someday in the future.
