Hug your friends via Facebook with Like-A-Hug vest

Posted: 21 Oct 2012 01:23 PM PDT

We have seen all sorts of weird and silly devices, and today we have a inflatable west that works with your Facebook account.

Melissa Chow, Andy Payne and Phil Seaton, from MIT have designed Like-A-Hug vest, and this vest will allow your Facebook friends to hug you – via Facebook. In order for someone to give you a "virtual hug" they just need to like your photo, status update or video on Facebook, and Like-A-Hug vest will inflate inwards, allowing you to "feel" the hug. Of course, you can also hug a person back by squeezing and deflating the west. We don't know how Like-A-Hug vest stays connected to the internet and Facebook, and what kind of battery it uses, but we assume that its creators will disclose this information soon.

We have to mention that Like-A-Hug vest looks like a silly device, so it's not the most fashionable piece of clothing. As for availability, Like-A-Hug vest is just a concept for now, but we might see it someday on Kickstarter.
