Favi SmartStick turns your regular HDTV into smart TV

Smart TVs are the future, and if you're not pleased with your HDTV, today we have a device that will turn your plain HDTV into a smart TV.



SmartStick has announced by Favi, and it's a HDMI stick that will turn your regular HDTV into a smart TV that runs on Android Jelly Bean. Just like all other devices, SmartStick supports major streaming services as well as Google Play Store. Only drawback of this HDMI stick is that it doesn't come with keyboard and mouse, and since it's useless without those, you'll have to purchase them separately.

If you want to enhance your HDTV, SmartStick from Favi might be perfect especially because it comes cheaper than other similar devices. There are two models available, 4GB and 8GB model, and they are priced at $50 and $80 respectively, and although SmartStick might be cheaper than similar devices, you don't get keyboard and mouse with it, so keep that in mind.

Libratone Zipp: Portable AirPlay speaker

Danish company Libratone has just released its latest wireless portable speaker called Zipp, so let's see what does this speaker have to offer. This speaker supports AirPlay and it also features Libratone's new PlayDirect technology that lets you stream music wirelessly from iPhone, iPod or iTunes without using WiFi network.

Of course, if you're at home, you can also use your WiFi home network for streaming as well. Zipp comes with two 1-inch ribbon-based tweeters, one 4-inch bass drive, and a full digital amplifier that can deliver 60W sound.

In addition, Zipp uses FullRoom technology that can deliver 360-degree sound experience. This portable speaker also has an USB port for direct playback from iPhone, iPod, and iPad, but there's also a 3.5mm audio jack if you want to use Zipp with any other media player. As for battery, Libratone Zipp can provide you with eight hours of wired playback or with four hours of wireless playback.

Zipp portable speaker is available in several colors, and as for the price, it's priced at hefty $449.
