Le Chal smartshoes connect to your smartphone and use GPS navigation

Posted: 29 Mar 2014 02:36 AM PDT

Smart devices are everywhere, and we have smartphones, smart TVs, smartwatches, and now we got smartshoes that can help visually impaired.

Le Chal smartshoes are created by Anirudh Sharma and his friend Krispian Lawrence, and these shoes provide haptic navigation while being connected to your smartphone at the same time. In order to use these smartshoes you need to pair them with your smartphone and using the dedicated voice recognition software you just have to set your desired location. After that GPS will take over and in order to inform you where to turn the shoes will produce a vibration, so for example, if you need to turn right the right shoe will vibrate and vice versa. The closer you get to your location the more intense the vibrations will become.

Le Chal smartshoes sound great, and they could really help out the visually impaired, and as for the price, we expect them to cost between $40 and $50.
