Gigabyte announces GSmart Simba SX1 smartphone

Gigabyte is famous for its computers and hardware, so it's unusual to see Gigabyte announcing its own smartphone, and according to the reports, this smartphone will have some unique features.



GSmart Simba SX1 comes with dual SIM support, but it also allows "three-way talking". According to Gigabyte, both SIM cards will remain active, and you can easily put the first call on hold, and invite other call to the conference group, without any special software or mobile operator service. In terms of hardware, this device comes with dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal memory with a microSD memory card slot for expansion, and a 1,900 mAh battery. Additional specs include 5-inch HD display, HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, a 2 megapixel front-facing camera, and a 13 megapixel rear camera with flash.

GSmart Simba SX1 sounds interesting with its "three-way talking" feature, and we expect to see this smartphone available worldwide next month.

Lenovo unveils 5.5-inch Vibe Z smartphone

We saw smartphones from Lenovo before, and Lenovo has unveiled a new smartphone called Lenovo Vibe Z, so let's check out what does it have to offer to its users.



Lenovo Vibe Z, also known as K910, comes with Snapdragon 800 processor and 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. Additional specs include 13-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with dual LED flash, as well as 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera. Speaking of camera, this smartphone will use Sony IMX135 main camera so you can take up to 10 images per half second. There's also a low-light algorithm that delivers brighter images while reducing noise. There will be several models available, WCDMA + GSM and CDMA2000 + GSM models for Chinese market, and LTE + GSM for international users.

Lenovo Vibe Z sounds great, but information about it is scarce at the moment. As for availability, pre-orders should be available soon, and regarding the price and release date, no official information is available at the moment.

Moto G: Budget-friendly Android 4.3 smartphone from Motorola

New smartphones are being announced almost on daily basis, and if you're looking for a new smartphone, you might be interested in the latest model that comes from Motorola.



Motorola has unveiled its new smartphone called Moto G, and this device comes with 4.5-inch HD display and a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. Regarding the storage space, this smartphone comes with 8GB of internal storage space, but there's also a 16GB model. We have to mention that there's 5MP main camera available as well. Regarding the software, Motorola Moto G comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but we should see an update to Android 4.4 KitKat in the beginning of 2014. If you love customizing your device, you should know that there will be 19 different customization options including Motorola Shell, Flip Shells and Grip Shells available in all sorts of colors.

Motorola Moto G should be available in Brazil, while UK, Canada and additional regions in Europe should get this smartphone in the coming weeks. As for US and India, Moto G will be launched there in early 2014. Regarding the price, there are SIM-free 8GB and 16GB models available, and they are priced at $179 and $199, respectively.

Upcoming Gmail update lets you save email attachments directly to Google Drive

Google is constantly working on its services, and speaking of which, Google plans to update Gmail with some new features, so let's see what does Google have for us this time.



Saving your email attachments can be a tedious process, especially if you want to view those attachments on other devices, but with the upcoming Gmail update Google will allow you to save your attachments directly to Google Drive, therefore eliminating need to download attachments and upload them back to cloud in order to view them on other devices. Emails in Gmail inbox will now show preview of attached file at the bottom, and you'll get a preview of photos, videos, spreadsheets and PDFs. You can even click the preview, and open a full screen view of that attachment in order to search for particular phrase. In order to save to Google Drive, you just need to hover over the attachment preview and click the Google Drive button, but you can also download the attachment and store it locally as well, simply by clicking the arrow button located next to Google Drive button.

This is an interesting update that will make your Gmail experience simpler and streamlined, and we should see this update available to desktop users soon.

Asus reveals Asus TransKeyboard for Android and Windows 8 devices

Virtual keyboards might not be be best and the fastest way to input text, but if you are looking for a physical keyboard for your tablet or smartphone, you might be interested in this Bluetooth keyboard that comes from Asus.



Asus is famous for its accessories, and this company revealed its latest accessory on their YouTube channel. Asus TransKeyboard comes with foldable cover, can it can work as stand for your smartphone or tablet. This keyboard accessory comes with Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, and it is compatible with Android 4.2 and Windows 8 devices. As for the size, this keyboard measures 26cm x 13cm x 1cm, and it weighs 246 grams.

Asus TransKeyboard sounds great, especially if you need a Bluetooth keyboard with foldable cover for your Android or Windows 8 devoce. Although this Bluetooth keyboard was introduced by a video, nothing has been announced yet, so there's no information regarding release date or pricing.

Dell unveils Venue 8 Pro and Venue 11 Windows 8.1 tablets

We saw all sorts devices from Dell, and if you're looking for a Windows 8 tablet, you might be interested in two new models from Dell.



Dell has announced two new models, Dell Venue 8 Pro and Dell Venue 11, and former comes with 8-inch 1,280×800 IPS display with pen input support. As for the hardware, this device comes with Intel's new quad-core "Bay Trail" processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage space. Dell Venue 8 Pro weighs 400 grams, and it can last 10 hours on a single charge, and it runs on Windows 8.1. As for Dell Venue 11 Pro, it comes with 10.8-inch full 1080p HD IPS display, quad-core Intel "Bay Trail" processor or up to 4th generation Intel Haswell i3 and i5 processor. This device supports up to 8GB of RAM, it has 256GB of storage, full size USB port, microSD card slot and HDMI port. There's also a removable battery that can last up to 10 hours on a single charge, and the tablet runs on Windows 8.1.

Dell Venue 8 Pro is priced at $299.99, and it's available for purchase, and Dell Venue 11 Pro is priced at $499.99, but there's no information regarding the release date.
