Amazon introduces Kindle Fire HDX

We covered new Amazon Kindle Fire HD, but Amazon has released another tablet called Kindle Fire HDX, so let's have a closer look at it.



Kindle Fire HDX comes with HDX display, and there will be two models available: 7-inch model with 323 ppi, and 8.9-inch model with 339 ppi. Display comes with 100% sRGB color accuracy, reduced glare, dynamic image contrast, and improved brightness. Regarding the hardware, this tablet comes with 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. As for the battery, Kindle Fire HDX comes with built-in battery that can last up to 11 hours, or up to 17 hours if you use it only for reading. Regarding the software, Kindle Fire HDX comes with Fire OS 3.0 "Mojito" and some unique features such as X-Ray for Music, Second Screen, Prime Instant Video downloads, and revolutionary Mayday button. As for Mayday button, it allows you to contact Amazon expert quickly if you ran into technical difficulties.

Kindle Fire HDX 7-inch model will cost $229, while the 4G model will cost $329. As for the 8.9-inch model, it will cost $379, and the 4G model will cost you $479.

Amazon announces Kindle Fire HD

Kindle Fire was a success, so it's no wonder that Amazon decided to update this tablet with new features and new hardware.



New Kindle Fire HD comes with slimmer and lighter form factor, and it uses 1280 x 800 HD display with 216 ppi. Regarding the hardware, this device runs on dual-core 1.5 GHz processor that will give 60% boost in performance, compared to the previous model. Kindle Fire HD comes with new Fire OS 3.0 "Mojito", and some new and upgraded features such as dual speakers with Dolby audio. There are some Amazon-exclusive features such as Prime Instant Video downloads, Second Screen, Kindle FreeTime, and X-Ray.

New Kindle Fire HD is an improvement over the previous model, and you're going to notice that 60% performance boost due to new processor. New Kindle Fire HD is available for pre-order, and you can get it for $139. As for the shipping, this tablet will be shipped on October 2nd onwards.

OPPO R819 comes with 4.7-inch IPS display with OGS, and it's able to deliver amazing viewing angles. This device comes in a slim case, and due to its ergonomic design, you can hold it in your hand for long periods of time. Additional specs include f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel Sony Exmor BSI back camera, a front-facing camera with an 88 degree viewing angle, WiFi, DLNA connectivity and dual SIM support. Regarding the memory, OPPO R819 comes with 16GB of internal storage space and 1GB of RAM. We have to mention that you can also have a choice of software, so you can choose between Android ROM or OPPO's Color ROM. According to OPPO, this is the thinnest and lightest smartphone in the world, and it weighs 100 grams while being 7.3mm thin.

OPPO R819 sounds like a great device, especially if you're looking for thin and light smartphone, but so far, no information regarding availability and pricing is available.
