Kubi: Telepresence robotic stand

Posted: 24 Dec 2012 05:01 AM PST

Telepresence devices are useful, especially if you can't be physically present at a specific location, and speaking of which, today we have a telepresence device that you might find useful.

Problem with telepresence is that it's not always practical, and this is where Kubi comes to help. Kubi is a robotic stand, and unlike other stands, this one can rotate. As for the telepresence, you can rotate the stand left or right, up and down while having the voice calls, so the entire process of telepresence feels much more natural and simpler, especially because you don't have to manually rotate the stand.

Kubi sounds like an interesting device, especially if you're fan of telepresence, but so far, Kubi is just a Indiegogo project. As for the availability, you can pre-order Kubi for $199, by donating that money to its funding. If Kubi reaches its funding goal, it will be available for sale at $249.
