For businesspeople: HP ElitePad 900 Windows 8 Tablet

Tablets are necessity, especially if you're a businessperson, and speaking of which, today we have a tablet designed specially for businesspeople.



ElitePad 900 has been announced by HP, and it is a Windows 8 tablet made from premium materials such as CNC-machined aluminum. ElitePad 900 is a 10.1-inch 1280×800 IPS touchscreen tablet that comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2. As for the hardware, this tablet is powered by Intel's Atom Z2760 1.8Ghz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM, and as for the storage, there's a 64GB SSD available. ElitePad 900 is 9.2mm thick, and it weighs less than 1.5lbs, so it will be perfect for you, if you're always on the move. Additional features include 8 Megapixel main camera with LED flash and a 1080p front-facing camera for video calls. There's also a SRS Audio enhancement as well as digital dual-array microphones.

Regarding the connectivity, ElitePad 900 supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and NFC. There are also additional accessories: ElitePad Productivity Jacket that gives you integrated keyboard, connectivity ports and SD card reader; ElitePad Expansion Jacket that adds USB, HDMI and other connectivity options. There's also a HP Executive Tablet Pen that lets you take notes simply by writing them on the screen, and a ElitePad Docking Station that charges the tablet and turns it into a secondary screen.

HP also announced two additional accessories: ElitePad Rugged Case and a ElitePad Jacket battery that extends the battery life of your tablet. No information about the pricing is available at the moment, but we should see this tablet available in in January 2013.
