spnKiX electric shoes are now available for sale

Several months ago, we covered futuristic spnKiX shoes that come with built-in motor, but back then, these shoes were just a Kickstarter project, but now they are available for sale, so let's have a closer look at them.

If you're too tired to walk, spnKiX shoes might be perfect for you since they come with a 85 W wheel motor, and a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery located at the back of each shue. As for the battery, according to the reports it will take about five hours to recharge your battery, and once you've charged your shoes, you can travel up to 6 miles or about 9.6 kilometers with them. We don't know how fast these shoes can go, but there's a handheld wireless remote that you use to adjust the speed.

spnKiX shoes sound like a rather interesting electric vehicle, and if you're interested, you can get your pair from spnKiX's website for $699.

Tata Motor’s Airpod concept car – why did we ever bother with electric cars?

India’s Tata Motors is working on a revolutionary latest technology concept called the Airpod concept car. Like many of Tata’s currently produced vehicles, the Airpod is tiny. Its also futuristically designed but unlike the rest, this one runs purely on compressed air and is not a hybrid.

As you will have guessed, its been designed for urban driving in mind. The small three-seater’s size and weight saving design also helps the power generated from the engine better propel the car.

Tata has been working together with Luxembourg firm MDI who specialises in air automation in order to trial the Airpod’s latest innovation for quite some years since buying rights to the engine. As the Airpod continues through further phases of testing, its thought that its ‘fuel’ and cost efficiency may be as favourable as costing just €1 to ‘fill up’ at a specialised filling station. Alternatively the Airpod may sport an on-board electric motor that when activated could fill up its own 175 liter air tank from the atmosphere in order to achieve a range of 125 miles. Tata reports top speeds of around 50 mph. We’ll be sure to keep updated on more news about the Airpod which is expected to cost approximately $10,000.

Velocity Micro Cruz T508: 8-inch tablet that runs on Android 4.0

Tablets are rather popular, and speaking of which, if you're looking for a proper tablet, today we might have the perfect model for you.

Velocity Micro is releasing Cruz T508, an 8-inch tablet that runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Unlike other 7-inch tablets that use 16:9 form factors, T508 comes with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen, 4:3 aspect ratio, and it uses 1024×768 resolution.

As for the hardware, this tablet is powered by Cortex A8 1.2GHz processor, and it uses dual Mali-400 2D/3D Core graphics processor. Cruz T508 comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, but if you need more storage space, this tablet also supports microSD/SDHC cards up to 32GB.

This tablet comes with both front and back camera, so you can take pictures and enjoy in video chat via WiFi. As we already mentioned, Cruz T508 runs on Android 4.0 and it comes with Amazon Kindle, Amazon Appstore, Adobe Flash Player, Angry Birds Space, and QuickOffice Pro.

Velocity Micro Cruz T508 is a decent tablet, but so far, we don't have any information regarding availability or price.
